Chess tournament online: how to beat the Virus ...

In light of the recent Virus outbreak and the quarantine imposed to everyone, we thought that chess had to carry on. And the best way to play games is to go online ! Thanks to Nikos, from Chess Club Roeser, a tournament has been organised yesterday Saturday 21st March, on Lichess.org platform, called "Antivirus Arena". No less than 60 players registered, mostly from Chess Club Stroossen, Chess Stars Roeser and Iraklio of Attica (Niko's club in Greece). This was just a 3-hour tournament, with the freedom to pause at any point in time. Scoring system was great and rewarded the players winning in half the time, or players winning several games in a row. At the end, it's Konstantinos Basinas who won with 60 points.

Etant donné le récent confinement qui a été imposé à toute la population due au Coronavirus, nous avons pensé que les échecs devaient continuer à subsister. Et la meilleure façon de jouer et de jouer online. Grâce à Nikos, du club Chess Stars Roeser, un tournoi a été organisé hier, samedi 21 Mars, sur Lichess.org, appelé "Antivirus Arena". Pas moins de 60 joueurs étaient présents, essentiellement de Chess Club Stroossen, Chess Stars Roeser et Iraklio of Attica (le club de Nikos en Grèce). Le tournoi a duré 3h, avec la liberté de faire des pauses à tout moment. Le système de points était amusant et permettait de récompenser les joueurs réduisant leur temps de jeu, ou bien enchainant plusieurs victoires d'affilée. Finalement, c'est Konstantinos Basinas qui a remporté le tournoi avec 60 points.
